Tonight I went to the theater, with nothing specific in mind to watch, and the only options that started in a timely fashion were Glee 3D, and Moneyball, staring Brad Pitt. I’ve been a long-time hater of most sports movies, because they’re all the same, regardless of whether they’re based on a true story, or fiction.

I enjoy reviewing movies I have seen. Sometimes I think I have a unique perspective on a movie, and sometimes I just enjoy hearing myself talk, I suppose. But at any rate, I do enjoy reviewing movies. There was a time many years ago when I would write movie reviews that I would just share by e-mail with a few friends.

My rating: Wait for HBO
Last night I watched Knowing, staring Nicholas Cage. The movie takes place in Lexington, Massachusetts, and begins in 1959 with the burial of a time capsule to commemorate the opening of a new elementary school. Fast forward 50 years to 2009, when the time capsule is opened, and Caleb (Chandler Canterbury), son of MIT astronomer John Koestler (Cage), receives an odd letter from the capsule: Two pages covered entirely with numbers.
